This itinerary offers a rich experience of Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes, and culture. Starting in Nairobi with a visit to the bird gallery at the National Museum, you’ll then travel to Lake Naivasha for scenic views and wildlife watching. Next, you’ll explore Lake Bogoria's hot springs and flamingos, and stay at Lake Baringo, famous for its birds and local fishermen. The journey continues to Iten and Kerio Valley, followed by a visit to Kisumu on Lake Victoria’s shores for relaxation or optional activities. The trip ends with an exciting safari in Maasai Mara, where you’ll see wildlife, enjoy game drives, and visit a Maasai village, before heading back to Nairobi. Each day offers nature walks, birdwatching, and other optional activities like boat rides and hot air balloon safaris.

Days 1–2

Nairobi and Lake Naivasha

Day 1 – Arrival in Nairobi: Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be greeted by a representative and transferred to Trademark Hotel for your stay. Later in the day, you’ll visit the National Museum’s bird gallery, offering a glimpse of Kenya’s endemic bird species. The day concludes with an early dinner at a restaurant, followed by a return to the hotel for overnight rest.
Day 2 – Nairobi to Lake Naivasha: After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive via the Great North Road to Lake Naivasha, with panoramic stops at viewpoints to admire Mt. Suswa and Mt. Longonot. On arrival mid-morning, you’ll walk along the lake shores, home to over 450 bird species. After lunch at your lodge or camp, you can opt for a boat ride on the lake or a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. Hell’s Gate, known for geothermal activity, offers dramatic landscapes, biking, rock climbing, and wildlife viewing. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Naivasha Country Club.

Day 3 – Lake Naivasha to Lake Bogoria and Baringo: The day begins with a scenic drive through the northern Rift Valley towards Lake Bogoria. A picnic lunch is followed by a walk along Lake Bogoria’s shores, where you’ll see its famed hot springs and geysers. The lake is also home to millions of flamingos. Later, you’ll head to Lake Baringo, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at Tumbili Cliff Lodge.
Day 4 – Lake Baringo: After breakfast, enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Baringo and its islands. You’ll have the opportunity to observe over 450 bird species, as well as crocodiles and hippos. Local fishermen in balsa wood boats fish for Tilapia, and you may witness an African Fish Eagle catch a fish in a special spectacle. Dinner and overnight will be at Tumbili Cliff Lodge.
Day 5 – Lake Baringo to Iten: Departing Lake Baringo after breakfast, you’ll take a scenic route toward Iten, famous for its Olympic champion athletes. Along the way, you’ll stop at Cheploch Gorge for photo opportunities. You’ll arrive at Kerio View Hotel in Iten for lunch, with dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 – Iten to Kisumu: After breakfast, visit the training grounds for Kenya’s elite athletes before heading to Kisumu, a Millennium City. Enjoy a relaxing lunch and evening by Lake Victoria’s shores, with dinner and overnight at The Sovereign Hotel.

Days 3–6

Lake Bogoria, Lake Baringo, and Iten

Days 7–12

Kisumu, Lake Victoria, and Maasai Mara

Day 7 – Kisumu and Surrounding: Today, you have the option to visit Kakamega Forest for a nature excursion or travel to Rusinga Island for a quiet day on the shores of Lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight will be at The Sovereign Hotel.
Day 8 – Lake Victoria: Spend the day relaxing by Lake Victoria’s shores or partake in optional water activities like island hopping. Dinner and overnight will be at The Sovereign Hotel.
Day 9 – Kisumu to Maasai Mara: After breakfast, you’ll travel to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, famous for its wildlife and the Great Migration. En route to your lodge, you’ll enjoy a game drive before lunch. Later in the evening, take another game drive to explore the Mara’s diverse wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Basecamp.
Days 10 & 11 – Maasai Mara: Over the next two days, you’ll explore the Maasai Mara in-depth. The reserve is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, and countless antelopes. You can also visit a Maasai village or opt for a hot air balloon ride over the Mara (optional, extra cost). Meals and overnight at Basecamp.
Day 12 – Maasai Mara to Nairobi: After a final morning game drive and breakfast, you’ll drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for a late lunch. You’ll then be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
