  • Optional Activities – Extra activities such as hot air balloon rides, Maasai village visits, camel riding, and horseback riding may come at an additional charge.
  • Personal Expenses – Items such as souvenirs, drinks, laundry, phone calls, or any other personal expenses are excluded.
  • Gratuities – Tips for guides, drivers, and hotel staff are often not included and are expected separately.
  • Vaccinations and Medical Costs – Any vaccinations required for travel and personal medical expenses are excluded.
  • Meals in Transit – Meals or snacks during transfers between locations, particularly on long drives, may not be provided.
  • Special Permits – Certain parks may require additional entry fees or permits for specific activities, such as night game drives, which may not be covered.

Days 1 - 4

Northern Kenya Adventure

  • Day 1 – Nairobi to Samburu:
    Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, you will be welcomed and briefed before heading north to Samburu Game Reserve. The drive takes you across the equator into the northern hemisphere. Samburu is known for its unique species found only north of the equator. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the lodge and embark on an afternoon wildlife observation until sunset. Overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge.

  • Day 2 – Full Day in Samburu:
    Spend the day exploring Samburu, home to the Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai. Morning and afternoon game drives offer spectacular wildlife viewing. Highlights include the Ewaso Ng’iro River, a vital water source, and the park’s rich birdlife with over 380 species. Animals like giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, elephants, oryx, lions, leopards, and cheetahs populate the reserve. Meals and overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge.

  • Day 3 – Samburu to Laikipia (Ol Pejeta):
    After breakfast, drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, famous for rare species like black rhino and Rothschild’s giraffe. Enjoy a game drive with sightings of Africa’s big five. The day includes a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Optional activities like bird walks and horseback riding are available. Meals and overnight at Aberdares Country Club.

  • Day 4 – Laikipia to Lake Nakuru:
    Start the day with breakfast before crossing the equator again, heading to Lake Nakuru. Famous for its flamingos, the national park also houses rhinos, hippos, and various antelope species. The day ends with wildlife watching until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp.

  • Day 5 – Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara:
    After breakfast, journey to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, known for its vast open plains and the great migration of wildebeests. Enjoy lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive until sunset. The landscape features rolling savannahs and an array of wildlife. Overnight at AA Mara Lodge.

  • Day 6 – Full Day in Maasai Mara:
    Spend the day exploring the Mara’s diverse ecosystem, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, and countless gazelles. With over 450 bird species, including birds of prey, the Mara offers a rich bird-watching experience. Optional activities include a hot air balloon ride or a visit to a Maasai village (both at an extra charge). All meals and overnight at AA Mara Lodge.

  • Day 7 – Maasai Mara to Swara Plains:
    Drive back to Nairobi and continue south to Swara Plains Wildlife Conservancy, 36 km outside the city. The conservancy boasts 100 km of trails with opportunities to see over 3,000 wild animals, including cheetahs, giraffes, and hyenas. Activities include nature walks and game drives. Overnight at Acacia Camp.

  • Day 8 – Swara Plains to Amboseli:
    Leave the plains after breakfast for Amboseli National Park, set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Despite its dry landscape, water from Kilimanjaro sustains the wildlife. Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge.

  • Day 9 – Full Day in Amboseli:
    Spend the day in Amboseli, known for its large elephant herds and incredible bird species. The park also offers views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Zebras, giraffes, lions, and cheetahs can also be seen. All meals and overnight at AA Lodge.

Days 10–12

Tsavo and Departure

  • Day 10 – Amboseli to Tsavo West:
    After breakfast, drive through the Chyulu Hills to Tsavo West, Kenya’s second-largest national park. Known for its “man-eating lions,” the park offers varied landscapes, including mountains, rivers, forests, and volcanic features. Afternoon game drive follows lunch at the lodge. Overnight at Ziwani Camp.

  • Day 11 – Full Day in Tsavo West:
    Enjoy a full day exploring Tsavo West, including a visit to Mzima Springs, a geological wonder where 230 million liters of water flow daily. A glass-walled shelter allows for underwater viewing of hippos and crocodiles. Meals and overnight at Ziwani Camp.

  • Day 12 – Tsavo West to Nairobi:
    After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi through the park. Upon arrival in the city, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight home, concluding your adventure in Kenya.
